Functions
- Designing business processes
Uses graphics designer, which is built into Active BPEL 2.0 (with BPEL 1.0 specification support) for setting-up business processes. It enables easy and convenient process simulation. Provides capability to describe complex processes using graphical design tools (process designer).
- Executing business processes
Uses Active BPEL 2.0 server for executing the business processes developed in graphic designer. The server transforms a set of separate applications used in the company into jointly running, coordinated process flows.
- Monitoring business processes
Checks the user proper permissions for starting the process execution, enables viewing the process graphics, or monitoring the process stages and the result of its completion.
- Managing document flows
Provides corporate infrastructure for processing documents that is available to all employees in the company.
- Establishing global document repository
Leverages a global, distributed repository and open, standards-based architecture for seamless integration with other data and content sources.
- Facilitating team work
Brings together people, processes, and documents across an organization. Project teams can easily bring documents into a corporate repository where it can be managed with other business information.
- Automating office operations and document flows
Enables registering paper documents, converting them into electronic form, checking and controlling resolution progress. Provides document archiving, version verification, logging, document check-in/check-out, template management, image processing.
- Searching information
Enables full-text search of the following document formats: doc, rtf, xls, ppt, pdf, html, and txt. Searches through document attributes both system, and custom ones. Provides saving of search inquiries for their subsequent activation.
- Facilitating ISO 9001:2000 certification
Provides a number of tools for ISO 9001:2000 standard certification process.
Features
- Possesses the full-scale web interface with minimal demands to the enterprise IT-infrastructure . Supports the majority of Internet browsers as thin clients (any of Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape, FireFox, is appropriate)
- Seamlessly integrates with the ABBYY FineReader 7.0 Scripting Edition, the application used for scanning and optical character recognition (OCR). Automates importing scanned documents into the system.
- Easily integrates with external directory services, such as Microsoft Active Directory or any other LDAP directories for the user authentication and authorization.
- Supports digital signature processing. Through the interface to certification authorities which is built into core functions of the Naumen Kernel platform, the system enables using digital signatures of any crypto-provider that supports the Microsoft CryptoAPI interface.
- Implements discretionary role–based access control by utilizing access control lists (ACL). The access control model effectively differentiates access to business processes at different process stages.
